I haven't posted here in a LONG time, way too long.
I'll start out one of my very few fully textual posts with some recent events, and then probably stop immediately afterwards.
I used to have Ubuntu and Windows 7 running together on the same machine, until it failed, miserably. As of yet I have no idea what the problem was and is. XP, Vista, and Win 7 all fail at installation, and Ubuntu is the only OS that works on this machine. The last failure at installing XP cause my Ubuntu partition to fail to boot as well, and I was unable to recover with my LiveUSB. Since then I have downloaded and installed Ubuntu 10.10 64bit and have yet to have any problems, though I have yet to test my steam games in wine.
In graphical areas I hope to start using Yafray or some similar ray-tracer as I now have a quad core, and the render times are hopefully down enough for them to actually be feasible. Other than that I am hoping to take part in a L4D mod, more to come some time in the near or distant future.
Photography wise I now have a new Nikon D3100. Thus hopefully I will have more new content on my youtube page as I start taking video. I have also modded my D60 for Infrared photography and both of these have since been used in a short animation.Though I won't be editing this one, just video and possibly choosing the music.
To finish off I may or may not be going to Mexico. I'm still not really sure of what is happening but I may or may not post before during or after I get there if I ever actually go there.

A building
Building modeled and rendered in blender. modeled in a modular design so every floor is a copy of the lower. AO is baked into the texture, took a lot of tweaking to make the lighting look alright.
